IT WAS GREAT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AGING SEMINAR AND RESOURCE FAIR on Tuesday, June 10, at the Waverly Area Veterans Post.

We enjoyed talking to you about the fun, interesting and tasty opportunities offered at the Waverly Senior Center.

The event was sponsored my home instead – Care Initiatives Hospice.

It will be even more fun for you to stop by the Waverly Senior Center, 506 E. Bremer, and see for yourself.

SIP & SPARKLE!

THE WAVERLY SENIOR CENTER’S FIRST SIP AND SPARKLE was a great success on Saturday, May 3. We had a good turn-out of shoppers who left with great buys on many treasurers. The homemade donut holes and Mimosa mocktails were a hit too.

The Senior Center’s fundraiser was made possible by a donation of costume jewelry from two large collections and a few other donors. Thanks to staff members, board members and other volunteers for helping make this event happen.

Thanks to all of you who stopped in to shop. We hope to see you at more Senior Center events.

HOOKS AND NEEDLES – New group name. Additional fun opportunity.
The Waverly Senior Center’s monthly Crochet Class is expanding its reach to include all hook and needle workers. Rather than just a crochet class, the group will welcome all needle workers to join them. Bring your knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, embroidery or other project to work on. Classes are also available. Bring your project and join us at the Waverly Senior Center from 1-2:30 p.m., the fourth Wednesday of the month. In March we will meet on March 26.
Interested or have questions? Contact the Senior Center at 319-352-5678
